Tag Unblocked

Tag

Tag is a simple local two-player game built around the schoolyard rule everyone already knows: whoever is "it" has to chase the other player down and touch them to pass the role along. There's no combat, no score screen full of stats — just a small arena, one player controlling movement with WASD and the other with the arrow keys, and a straightforward objective of not being "it" when the round timer runs out.

Because both players share the same keyboard, the game works best as a couch-style match between two people sitting at the same screen. Rounds are short, so a single game can run through several chases in a few minutes, with each round resetting positions and starting the count again. The simplicity is the point — there's nothing to learn beyond movement, so new players can jump in immediately.

The actual skill in Tag is almost entirely about spatial reading rather than reflexes: cutting corners tightly, using obstacles to break line of sight, and predicting where the other player will run rather than just chasing their current position. As "it," charging straight at your target usually fails, since a fast opponent will simply loop around an obstacle; feinting toward one side and cutting the other way tends to close distance faster than a straight sprint.

As the runner, the best strategy is usually to keep some kind of obstacle or the arena's center between yourself and the chaser rather than sprinting for open space, since open space gives the chaser a straight, uninterrupted line to close the gap. Baiting the chaser to commit to one side before cutting back is a small trick that works surprisingly often, especially against players who aren't expecting it.

How to play Tag?

Player one moves with WASD, player two moves with the arrow keys. Whoever is "it" needs to touch the other player to pass the role over before the round ends; the other player just needs to stay out of reach. Use obstacles to break sightlines when you're being chased, and try faking a direction change when you're the one chasing.

Controls

Desktop: Player 1 uses W/A/S/D to move, Player 2 uses the arrow keys.
