Plonky is a ragdoll obstacle-course platformer from GameTornado, the studio behind Dreadhead Parkour and the Short Life series. You guide a floppy little guy through levels packed with spinning saws, explosives, spike pits, conveyor belts, and swinging ropes, and simply reaching the end of the stage in one piece is the whole challenge.

The ragdoll physics are what give it its personality: take a hit and your character crumples convincingly, costing you one of your limited lives, and checkpoints along the way decide how much of the level you have to redo. The courses mix straight platforming with climbing ladders, hanging from bars, swinging across gaps, and the occasional swim, so the danger keeps changing shape — one section is a timing test around a saw blade, the next is a leap of faith onto a rope.

How to play Plonky?

Most hazards move on fixed patterns, so the core skill is patience: stand at the edge of a trap, watch its rhythm, and move through in the safe window instead of sprinting blind. Grab bars and ropes deliberately — swinging has real momentum, and releasing at the top of the arc carries you much farther than panicking mid-swing. Treat checkpoints as breathing room, keep an eye on your remaining lives, and expect a few slapstick deaths per level; they're half the fun.
